David Burns is a Vice Preside nt and Head of Federal Government Affairs in Prudential’s Washington DC of fice\, where he leads the company’s federal lobbying team representing Pru dential’s policy and political interests with policymakers in DC. Prior to his current role\, David was a senior lobbyist for Prudential with a focu s on tax\, financial services\, and retirement issues. Before joining Prud ential in 2009\, David was a senior policy staffer to now retired Congress man John Tanner\, then a senior Ways and Means Committee Member and co-fou nder of the Blue Dog Coalition. David advised Mr. Tanner and the Blue Dog Coalition on fiscal issues with a focus tax\, budget\, and trade policy. B efore working for Mr. Tanner\, David was the Legislative Director to forme r Congressman Chris Bell of Houston\, TX\, David’s hometown. David has a B A in economics from the University of Texas at Austin.

Donna Scalaro is a Vice Preside nt in the Advanced Planning Group of Prudential. In this role she consults with Prudential’s sales force and distribution partners to provide techni cal knowledge and support for life insurance sales and marketing in the ar eas of estate\, business\, charitable\, wealth transfer and retirement pla nning.

Donna joined Prudential in January of 2013 through the acqu isition of The Hartford’s individual life division by Prudential. Prior to that\, Donna had been a Director with The Hartford’s Advanced Markets gro up beginning in 1996. Before joining The Hartford\, Donna was a practicing attorney in law firms in Connecticut for nine years\, specializing in est ate planning\, estate settlement and elderlaw.

A graduate of Hofst ra University School of Law in Hempstead\, New York\, Donna was cited as t he distinguished graduating law school student who achieved excellence in Wills\, Trusts and Estates. She completed her undergraduate work at Centra l Connecticut State University\, New Britain\, Connecticut\, earning a Bac helor of Science degree in Accounting\, Summa Cum Laude and ranked number one in her major. She is admitted to the bar in Connecticut.
